I know these pictures are overdue since Halloween was about two weeks ago, but nevertheless, here they are! Unfortunately, Superman was not in a great mood during the "photo shoot" - later that evening he had a little bit of an upset stomach (he must have caught Mommy's bug, sadly!), so that explains why he was miserable that afternoon. Poor guy!So, we picked the out the Superman outfit for a reason. The only way we are successful with our tummy time is to do the "Superman" - Manu or I pick the little man up and "fly" with him over the apartment so he can work on lifiting up his arms and legs.
Manu was the one who actually figured out this worked, and I just started replicating it!!!! The irony of it all is that when I went it for Shaan's four month checkup, the pediatrician asked how tummy time was going, and I commented "not great" and she said, "Let me show you this new way to do tummy time..." and lo and behold...what does she do..."The Superman!!!" Now it's not exactly what we do...she only holds the babies about 2 inches off the ground, whereas Manu and I hold Shaan up at waistlength, but whatever we are doing must be working because she noted how impressed she was at how well he was able to hold up his held and legs "for his size."
I think that's a nice way of stating that "you're doing pretty good with this chunker of yours!" Haha! In all honesty, though, it did make me feel better since Shaan is not consistent with rolling over yet...I mean, we can do it every now and then, but we're not really there yet. But, the pediatrician did assure me we are where we need to be given his size. He's in the 90th percentile now, and supposedly he has more weight to throw over so it may take him longer? At any rate, I think we are going to be walking before we roll over!!! His legs are so stinking strong..he ALWAYS wants to be standing up, and he can already walk with assistance...which terrifies me!!!
We have so much baby-proofing to do....
In other news...also think we may be teething??? Shaan wants to put EVERYTHING in his mouth...tonight I was changing his diaper and he tried to put my arm (not my hand...my arm!) in his mouth! And we wear a bib 24/7. The drool is unstoppable!!! :)

O My gosh!!! I can't believe how big he has gotten!!! He's adorable!!! That's hilarious about the tummy time- I would pay money to see you walking around the house with him like that..haha! Ryder is the same way with the standing up thing..he loves it and his legs are so strong too! he will take steps when I hold his hands...i'm was wandering if that was normal! guess we just have some big old boys!ha!
